If you follow me on Instagram then you know I LOVE the ocean. Like, I literally live, breath, & drink salt water & this past week I had the chance to visit what I can now call my favorite beach town EVER, Sayulita in Nayarit, Mexico.
*I’ll be posting a full on guide to Sayulita, Nayarit soon, but before I do I wanted to give you a taste of how magical it truly is!
Sayulita is honestly Mexico’s hidden gem, I could go on and on about my love for this place. In fact, I love it so much I almost didn’t come back…
If you dream up your perfect beach paradise I promise it will blow your expectations out of the water (The perfect 75 degree water) . It’s small, everybody surfs, every dog is loved, it has incredible food and the people are incredible.
[Had to get that beach selfie in 🙂 ]
The streets are filled with color, and the residents are genuinely so happy. I met people from Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, Italy, France & so many other countries who LIVE there because it is, no joke – the definition of freaking paradise.
We spent our days in Sayulita surfing, scuba diving in the 75+ water, exploring the jungle, making friends from around the world, dancing salsa in the sand, drinking fresh passion fruit margaritas, hula hooping our hearts out, eating the best Italian food we have ever had, and soaking up every single second of it.
[New friends from Venezuela!]
We even had the chance to attend a Coloncho concert (a popular band from Guadalajara) and chat with some of the locals. There were families and children running around everywhere, dogs and their owners sitting side by side enjoying the music & it was literally 5 steps away from the ocean water. So close in fact that people were running and jumping in the ocean to cool off before propping themselves back down in front of the stage. Every single person there was having a blast and their smiles were so contagious.
It’s safe to say I’m already planning my trip back to this paradise, and I’m seriously contemplating a one-way ticket. Who knows where the adventure will take me!
I’ll have my full Sayulita itinerary up soon, along with a video of our experience, but for now, I’ll leave you with this snap peek [My version of a sneak peak 🙂 ]
P.s. The full video of our experience will be much better quality 🙂
